Doreno...dearest...To be honest, Cheri...the new beaujolais has never floated my tonsils in a particularly nice way...I’ve always thought it more like a fruit juice...& I to you, my Dear...& you are most welcome...It is nice to be appreciated...Paulo...All the WS equipment goes into the WS storage facility until it is needed again...I do have one, or two of the stands in my studio, as I use them as ‘props’ when I’m recording my vocals...kind of recreating a ‘live’ environment...Purple...Yes...of course...there are many I never visualize being played in concert...Some songs I just feel are ‘album’ material...Then again, there are some songs I would love to play live but never really got the chance, or remembered, to be honest...When we were recording the GTBB album, the recording went longer than I thought into 07...my original plan was to celebrate & play the whole 87 album when we toured, but, as you know, we didn’t get on the road that year...I can usually tell in rehearsals if a song is ‘working’ or not...or my players can...Babydollinky...At this moment it is more likely we will be in the writing & recording process, rather than touring...Jeca...It was an unforgettable experience...but, far too many memories to capture here...but, all of them very positive...I wouldn’t have missed it for the world...Ger...Yes...a Dublin girl...I always go down O’Connell street when I’m in Dublin...I treasure an old photograph of my Mam & my Nana...headscarves proudly worn, promenading down the street...Vera...So very sorry to hear this news...love to Josh...OK, Boys & Girls...I must be away...the old reel to reel tapes are currently baking downstairs...yes...‘baking’ in a special oven...After 10 years, analogue tapes start to deteriorate, & have to undergo 6 hours in the oven, then 2 hours to cool...& we have boxes & boxes of them...Major pain in the arse, but, already pouring forth some antique gems...Onwards & Forwards...Be strong for yourselves & others...Love & LIGHT...DC |

‘Morning, All...from a cool, but, very fresh Lake Tahoe...I hope You’re All well & not so dusty & well brushed...as my Sainted Nana would say...McSnake...Too be honest...no...I’ve only ever seen Lord Glenneth von Cannock, with whom I maintain a loving, brotherly relationship...& I’ve bumped into Jon Lord in LA...so, no...I’ve had no connection for a long time...Yes...it is incredible, isn’t it?....JK...& that’s why we’re changing it...It has been long overdue & we’re all excitedly discussing new ideas for what we hope to achieve...Some people don’t seem to be aware of how much this site takes to run, maintain & keep fresh...like in other areas of life, some appreciate & some take for granted...It is a full time job & then some...& at times, we need all the help, patience & understanding we can get...but, c’est las vie...nobody said it would be easy...However...we will make it as joy-filled as we can & anyone who doesn’t care for it has myriads of other internet oases they can frolic in...Partygirl...No immediate plans for touring, but, LOTS of projects simmering away on the back burner...just waiting to see which ones we move to the front burner...Yes...it’s been a tough year on singers...Poor ol’ Ronnie...we wish him a speedy recovery...Shannon...Er...we actually sent one of the guys out for Mexican food...burritos, etc...The Missus was out, teaching her girls pole...the housekeeper’s off sick...& growing boys have to eat, don’t they?...Jaz loves pasta, right now...tho’, he’s much more willing to try new things as he grows older...OK...have a super, tres duper day, Y’All...Love & LIGHT...DC |

Serpens...Who knows...I’ve just been reviewing lots of video footage from shows, rehearsals & behind the scenes at the record of the ‘Slip’ album...some really fun stuff which, once edited down will make a fun documentary...Also, when I was assembling the recent ‘Slip’ anniversary package, I genuinely enjoyed listening to the songs fresh...so, very likely...Hey Oop, Fosh...Nice to see you...but, you must admit, you got a bit naughty back then...welcome back...Steady on, Olga...Ha Ha!!!...That’s very sweet of you...Spacebo!...Olivia...I suppose they’ll be starting the decorations soon...All the winterization of the old homestead is currently going on as I comfortably entrust the responsibility to more sensible chaps...Our tree is pretty well stacked, I remember...OOO-ER!!!...Hola Snake!...Thanks for your support, Senor!...TuiiYa...No worries, Mate...I shall still be hitting notes only finely bred dogs can hear for some time to come...&, whispering sweet, acoustic melodies, too...I don’t do ‘fear’...Robbie...If we were sitting down over a pint...private, I could regale you with quite some surprising names...but, not on here...Adrian & I are in contact all the time...he’s planning to visit next year...but, don’t go looking into that too much...we are very, very good friends, & I am very happy with my current colleagues...Sarah...I can’t watch BBC America...too many commercials!...I do enjoy Top Gear now & again...ELLY...I stopped smoking almost 10 years ago...It’s funny watching a lot of the videos we’re documenting right now as I am smoking up a storm...( Cough Cough )...OK...that’s it...back to digitizing...Take care Gang...nice to see You All today...I must dash, I have a bunch of dirty, filthy emails from Brother Joe Elliott to go thro’...Cheers, DC |

Gobberz...If you are really just starting out, I'd get a tutor to get you going on the rudiments...When I first started, I had no idea about tuning the bloody thing...I'd play all the chord inversions perfectly & it sounded horrible...As you can imagine, I felt a proper charlie when I found out that little fact...& yes...a few quid certainly helps...Good Luck!...DC |

Indy...Rest, is always the best medicine, I’ve found...There are obviously medications that can speed the process, but, I tend be shy of using them as they mask the symptoms, rather than heal...Some things you may want to try are gargling with warm water with a dash of salt & a crushed aspirin...don’t swallow, of course...in the words of some singer, spit it out...ahem...Don’t drink anything too hot, or cold...avoid ice in your drinks...My voice guys suggest Mucinex to help create mucus...Tylenol, over other pain meds...& gentle warm ups...Sadly, avoid soda & alcohol, as it dehydrates...Room temp steam units, if you can find any, are invaluable...Good Luck!...Vanessa...I’ll see if I can catch it...nice of the guys to choose the Slide package...Serpens...Yes, unfortunately, I did read it...we are still trying to find out what is going on...OK... Boys & Girls...Serious time...I agree with our fabled Webmaster...this BBS was created to enable you to directly ask me questions about WS, music, etc...It was never created as a place to come & post daily, multiple posts...Please know that kind of support is not necessary & relatively recently it has somehow become a place for some to engage in overtly personal matters, or in some cases, uncomfortable over familiarity...this is not what the BBS is for...a bit of fun is always welcome, but, it has gotten out of hand... Julliete...I originally learned TM with a mantra from a meditation teacher when I first started...but, for many years I’ve been starting my day with prayers of gratitude, setting my intentions for the day, then simply sitting quietly with that energy for 30 minutes, or more...then I’m off to start the day...I do this every day, sometimes twice...OOO-ER!!! |

Valeria...Yes...I use meditation in my everyday experience...In fact, I start my day with at least 30+ minutes meditation...7 days a week...I also apply this to my lyric & songwriting...As I have shared before I feel it is the ultimate accessory for me & my life...I am currently writing new & correlating older song ideas with no particular project in mind, to be honest...just seeing where the journey takes me...but, I feel it most likely we will be heading toward a new WS studio album, as we had so much fun creating & performing the Good To Be Bad songs in concert in 08 & 09...but, I’ll let You All know as soon as any solid decision is made... |
