I’ve always loved this album, for the freshness of the sounds, for the artistic performance of every single element, for the compositions, for the videos, the world tour of which I was present in 1990 at the Monster of Rock in Italy… It’s a record so strong and fucking fantastic, wonderful! A record that is still current today, even if it is an album that has been criticized by idiots… because they have never understood that “Slip of the Tongue” was ahead of its time! For me this album and this training is still one of the best results of the entire Whitesnake career! Please note that I love all the Whitesnake albums!

…or 2019 even!!! Oooops! I was the first person, by the way, to buy it from my local branch of WHSmiths on its day of release. I know that, because when I went up to the desk, it still hadn’t arrived and was literally delivered whilst I was there. That was 18th November 1989. Seems like yesterday.

This was my first CD (!) and is still one of my faves! I had a cassette taped from a friend who had come from the US before and almost tore it apart from listening to it night & day until it was released here in Brazil, in 1990. And it still has Sailing Ships, my personal hymn! One my favorite WS albuns, if not the one! Congratulations, DC & guys!

Brilliant album, great compositions and very well executed by all members. I saw you guys at Monsters of Rock 1990 in Utrecht, the Netherlands. I’ll never forget the dualling solo between Adje and Steve… Well guys, 30 years later, i’m sliding the album in once again, excuse me for my slip of the tongue, cheers!

Geweldig dat je de remake van SotT nu zelf kunt inspelen! Heb m’n jongste zoon (17) al diverse cd’s laten horen. Begint nu nummers na te spelen. Heerlijk om dat rock-virus door te geven.
